Peacemaker was on hold due to writers’ strike
In June of this year, the creator of Peacemaker, James Gunn, confirmed that he would work on the script once he finished his work on Superman: Legacy. During this time, a writers’ strike erupted, which prevented him from writing. However, by the end of September, the Writers’ Guild reached an agreement with the producers from AMPTP, ending the months-long strike. As a result, the writers can return to work.
