The Flash got mediocre reviews in the Noth America and that led to horrible box office results. The third weekend is going to be a nightmare for the Speedster.
June 30 is the starting date of the third-week screening for The Flash and we already know that it will be even worse than the awful second week. 1538 out of 4256 cinemas decided to withdraw DC movies from their offer to make space for new premieres and give other movies additional screening time – movies that actually manage to gather the audience. The Flash managed to be the first in something though, records say that this is the biggest third-week drop of any DC movie from cinemas ever.
The reviews that we got prior to the movie’s release were so good that all of DC fans were hoping for the biggest and the best movie that will actually be a huge success moneywise after a number of flops from the DC Cinematic Department. Well, viewers were not impressed and that shows. And that is not only in the US, it seems that viewers worldwide decided to not recommend the movie to other people – and we already know that good word-of-mouth marketing can make billions of dollars.
Till this point, The Fastest Man Alive managed to gather $216,4 million worldwide with $200 million budget (not counting the promotional costs which are usually half the making cost). Predictions say that producers should expect to lose about $200 million.
