Chris Brewster said in an interview that Charlie Cox asked Marvel Studios on many occasions to hire him as a stunt double in Daredevil: Born Again. Unfortunately, no one who worked on Netflix’s version of Daredevil did not return to work on the reboot.

Chris Brewster was Charlie Cox’s stunt double in Daredevil. During The Izuko Unscripted podcast, he criticized Marvel Studio’s take on Daredevil’s character. He compared Marvel Studios’ She-Hulk: Attorney at Law to a cartoon and called it bad.

He also stated that no one who worked on the Netflix version of the show was allowed to work on a rebook (excluding the cast members). He was sure that Marvel will contact him to play in Born Again because Charlie Cox always wants to work with him.

Charlie Cox indeed was praising working with Chris on many occasions. Marvel Studios has different plans for the Daredevil because it was already stated that this show will be very different from the one on Netflix.

Currently, work on the set of this production is suspended due to the writers’ strike. It is unknown how long that break will last.

Daredevil: Born Again – what we know so far

The show was announced during San Diego Comic-Con 2022. Kevin Geige stated that it will not be available on Disney+ until spring 2024 but with the ongoing writers’ strike, that date might be pushed further.

Matt Corman and Chris Ord were hired to create the script and executive produce. The duo worked on other shows in the past, Covert Affairs on USA Network was one of them.

The title of the show suggests that we will get a more mature show (maybe not as mature as Netflix’s version) since it will probably be based on a comic book written by Frank Miller.

How many episodes will Daredevil: Born Again have?

Kevin Feige announced that there will be 18 episodes in the first season of Daredevil: Born Again. The running time of each episode were not revealed.

In that case, the new rebook of Daredevil will have the most episodes per season that any show about that character had in the past. Netflix’s Daredevil was running for three seasons with 13 episodes in each.
